“Singing”

“Singing”
By mstmha

That platinum smile,
Those knowing eyes,
That sincere rhythm
That you preach.

Sweetly, like that
Chocolate tasting,
Lips touching
On a pinot whim
By pedigree.

Trapping my doubtful thoughts
Of love’s unsurety
Tunneled within,
Coiled deep inside of me.

Seared is a maudlin memory
Of you and me.
Entwined on a scented,
Candlelit snuggle sheet.

Beneath moonlit Dogwood trees.
Embracing a language
Meant for only us,
Metabotically.

Thankfully,
It was you
Who produced my song
Beneath that fanning tree.

Thankfully
It was you
Who inspired the tune
Of my new melody.
