Like a Leaf
Like a leaf,
billowing in a gentle breeze.
splendidly dressed in its reds, yellows, and greens.
Flaunting rain diamonds,
beneath rays of illuminated light
streaming down heatedly,
sillouetting its body against a multi-natural set.
Fancifully, it speaks to me.
Scenic in its beauty
as brown arms reach out with adoration
to grasp it near;
In hopes that it will not fall driftingly
down to grassy fingers
Waiting to feel
the gentle caresses of that colorful star
whose life is undetermined.
Yet, alas, it is not fearful
of what is to be
because its beauty in itself is its own legacy.
