Afterward, however, Mrs. Feinstein issued a statement saying: “The law must reflect a single clear standard across the government, and right now, the best choice appears to be the Army Field Manual. I recognize that there are other views, and I am willing to work with the new administration to consider them.”

“Other views meaning that Americans are being tortured based on the assumptions that they may not “fit” into someone’s idealistic views on conformity.  Excuse us if we did not fit into their “perfect society. How do you explain torturing a person who has never been a terrorist? And why would they need to base our recommended torture on an Army Field Manual, a torture that should never have happened to begin with? Is that suppose to make it better?”
